About
We are deeply concerned about the way Hackney Council is managing the closure and merger of Hackney schools – 4 schools in scope now and 12 schools in the near future.
We recognise the Council has a responsibility to respond to the decrease in school enrolment in the borough, but we also recognise that the Council itself has contributed to the flight of families from the borough through numerous policies that have led to a significant drop in affordable and social housing in the borough.
If you’re concerned about where Hackney is heading, want to work (or perhaps already are working on) on helping families stay in the borough and thrive, we want to hear from you.
