Hackney Council has admitted that there are more school closures and mergers to come in the borough.

We don’t believe it in in the interests of our children to aggressively close schools. Doing so will exacerbate the very problem closures are intended to solve, by driving more families out of the borough and discouraging new families from moving in.

We’re holding a roundtable summit for ALL parents, carers, families and interested parties. We'll have selection of speakers sharing learnings and insights about why Hackney should be protecting our schools, not shutting them down.

Join us to hear more about why we must work together. Closing a school does deep and irreparable damage to a community. Closing a school should be an option of last resort.
